BURLINGTON, VT- General Dynamics Armament Systems has received a contract from the Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Virginia valued at $29,970,403. This contract is for the production of MK 82 Mod 0 Aegis guided missile directors and MK 200 Mod 0 guided missile director controls for DDG 51 Arleigh Burke Class destroyers. Total production quantity is 27 each (three per ship) plus spares. Deliveries run through 2006.

The MK 82 and MK 200 were designed and developed by General Dynamics. They are now in production for the Aegis MK 7 Weapon System, the U.S. Navy's most advanced air defense system. The MK 82 mount provides stabilization for the AS-3444/SPG-62 antenna assembly designed, developed, and produced by Raytheon Equipment Division.
