Active Protection Systems
Bright Arrow is a combined hard and soft kill active protection system (APS) and remote-controlled overhead weapon station. Based on proven Iron Fist sensing, jamming and intercepting technology, Bright Arrow integrates firepower, survivability and situational awareness into one system with weight, volume and power constraints designed specifically for light combat vehicles.
Designed to protect soldiers and vehicles from anti-armor threats, the Iron Fist rapidly and reliably detects, tracks and neutralizes anti-tank rockets (i.e. RPG), anti-tank guided missiles (ATGMs), kinetic energy and high explosive anti-tank (HEAT) rounds with two layers of active protection.
The Shock Absorber is a man-portable electro-optical soft kill active protection system (APS) for detection and jamming of anti-tank guided missiles (ATGMs). This lightweight, man-portable system can be carried by a single soldier in the field and rapidly deployed for infantry missions.
GDATP in conjunction with Rafael Ordnance and Protection Division has developed a next-generation Reactive Armor for application

This highly accurate system uses two different detection mechanisms, direct exposure and indirect exposure. Delta senses the fire using stainless steel tubing routed to provide optimal coverage and monitoring. The durable and flexible tubing can be located to monitor large compartments or tight spaces.
