General Dynamics Armament and Technical Products has a long history of supplying composite rocket motors and launch tubes for tactical and strategic missiles launched from ground, air, ship and submarine platforms. These products offer cost-effective, lightweight alternatives to heavy metal components.

As missile designers seek to obtain additional weight reduction, we are also applying the benefits of composite materials to missile fuselage structures, subcomponents, interstages, fairings, pressure vessels and control surfaces.

Our engineers work directly with the customer’s structural designers to develop and test these structures to meet requirements such as reliability; thermal resistance; high bending stiffness; and to ensure long storage life and corrosion resistance are incorporated into the design.
