High Rate Vertical to Horizontal Transport

General Dynamics Armament and Technical Products is currently developing the Hi-Rate Vertical to Horizontal Transport system. Hi-Rate VHT is a cableless elevator system capable of transporting cargo vertically and horizontally, following the ship's hull along a diagonal or curved path, crossing multiple ballistic and watertight boundaries, and supporting multiple load platforms in the trunk simultaneously.
