Cargo Bed Covers, Type I

The Type I Cargo Bed Covers produced by General Dynamics Armament and Technical Products are lightweight, rigid structures that provide environmental protection for personnel and are used to store and secure mission equipment, tools and valuable items and supplies on the High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle. Type I CBC are 20 pounds (9 kg) lighter than soft-top systems, yet enhance the system by providing blackout and Nuclear, Biological and Chemical wash-down capabilities, environmental protection and greater security.
